Managing Priorities, Projects & Time

Description:
Your ability to identify priorities, remain focused on them, manage projects and manage time are key determinants to your overall productivity and the results you can achieve personally and professionally. As a result, harnessing the critical success factor of Managing Priorities, Projects and Time will increase your individual output and as a result your organization’s competitiveness. In this course you will gain practical skills, tools and techniques to develop and implement a framework for successful management of priorities, projects and time. You will identify specific action commitments to affect your day-to-day choices that will improve your effectiveness and productivity. 

Delivery Method:
With the aid of scenario based exercises and case studies, you will be immersed in extensive individual and group real-world activities that will expose your unique time management circumstances. You will use a pre-work tool (our Insights Time Plus Behaviour Profile) to learn your true priority, project and time management style and behavioural preferences.

This tool will be instrumental in laying the foundation of your specific individualized learning plan. The combination of scenario based activities, some lecture and discussion, the formulation of Action Commitments and the exploration of various tools and techniques will greatly assist your learning, the establishment of strategies for implementation back at the workplace and ensure you have the maximum positive impact on your behavior and habits when you return to work from the course.


Course Outline

You will:

  • Identify your personal time style
  • Analyze and map current commitments and future improved solutions and approaches
  • Differentiate between Priorities and posteriorities
  • Formulate SMART Goals/Objectives
  • Learn and practice interpersonal techniques to manage interruptions, time wasters and overcome procrastination
  • Learn how to deal with telephone, email and other distractions
